As parents of four kids, UNIQUE birthday party ideas are hard to come by.  We’ve done all the standards:  The pizza place/video game center, the bowling alley, the movies, the fast food chain. B-O-R-I-N-G!!!!

We’ve even gone so far as to rent a moon bounce and set up a backyard carnival for one year’s party.  Expensive to say the least.

Finally, when our second son turned 5 years old, we decided to try something different. With a party theme in mind, we set about finding an activity that would be 1.) FUN, 2.) EASY, and 3) AFFORDABLE!
